HP printer lost connection after the change of new internet connection or Wi-Fi settings


While using wireless HP printer it is important to have internet settings remains unchanged. Under any circumstances, when you relocate or change your internet services provider or update Wi-Fi network settings due to any reasons, HP printer will face the connectivity issues with your network device.

In order to reconfigure new internet settings, you must know the name of the Wi-Fi network and passcode for it. Applies on touchscreen HP printers-

  •       From the home-screen of printer, find Wireless network icon or Setup
  •         Now select Setup and navigate to Network Settings
  •         By using a touch screen or arrow keys on printer find the option Restore Network Settings to Default
  •         Then, select Yes to confirm your selection
  •         During the process your printer may reboot itself
  •         When the printer is back online- again access Wireless network or Setup
  •         Then, choose Network Settings and Wireless Setup
  •         Select Wireless Setup Wizard and next
  •         Now select your wireless network and OK
  •         Enter the Wi-Fi network key in right format and OK
  •         Wait until the printer accepts the new network settings


When successfully done, the printer will print the network configurations page. Moreover, your printer will be back online to print and scan from any computing device within the range of network.
The printers that do not have touch screen can be also reconfigured using WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup), HP Smart or USB wire. The easiest can be the USB wire which will take a few minutes in establishing a connection with a network router.
